EVERYDAY LIFE

Stories, Food, and Everyday Moments

This is a more personal corner of the website: the stories I step into through role-playing games, the food I enjoy, and a few photographs from my life. Here are some of the ways I spend time with others—and some moments I want to keep.

01 / ROLE-PLAYING GAMES

An Afternoon in Someone Else’s Story

One of my favorite ways to spend time with friends is jubensha, a scripted role-playing mystery game. Each player takes on a character, reads their own part of the story, and pieces together what happened with the others. Some sessions last eight to ten hours, giving us plenty of time to get caught up in the characters and their stories.

I have also played with my statistics teacher. Sharing a game gives us a different setting in which to talk and spend time together, beyond our usual roles in the classroom. It is a part of my life I wanted to include here: a long game, a shared story, and the people around the table.

02 / FOOD

A Few Favorites

A small collection of food I have enjoyed. Some photographs need little explanation; others come with a place, a person, or a story I want to remember.

A Few Moments from My Life

Some photographs of me, some with people I know, and some from places I have been. Together, they offer a few glimpses of my life beyond the projects on this website.
