Is the Abolition of Doli Incapax Compatible with the Developmental Logic of Juvenile Justice in England and Wales?

This paper examines whether the abolition of doli incapax in England and Wales is compatible with a developmental approach to juvenile justice. It considers the tension between greater procedural certainty and the need to account for differences in children’s maturity and understanding.
